We stopped for lunch and a play at Goondiwindi. We went to the shops and bought some groceries and tried to buy some rainbow loom bands but the lady didn't know what we were talking about. We drove from Goondiwindi to Tookeys Creek and set up the caravan. During the drive I saw lots of cotton fields, dead animals and popped tyres!
Mummy and I set out to find a cache and we had to walk in some crunchy rough grass that was in bunches. There were millions of mosquitoes that were about the size of my fingernails and tons of ants where the cache was. The end of the log where the cache was hiding was on an ants nest. When we were walking to the cache Mummy was pushing past a tree and a twig caught on her shirt and flicked back into my eye! After we found the cache we raced back to the caravan to get away from the mosquitos and ants.
Emily was cooking dinner so we sat down at the table and waited until it was ready. There were lots of tiny little bugs everywhere in the caravan. They came in when the light got turned on. Luckily they weren't insets that bit.
This is our first night sleeping in the caravan this trip. I am sleeping right under the light where all the tiny insects. I hope I don't swallow any when I'm asleep.
I had a fly land in my drink today - luckily I noticed before I swallowed him. Hopefully all the insects fly away before you go to sleep tonight - otherwise you won't be very hungry in the morning!
